Building Competence in the Language Classroom
In order to build competence and self-confidence in ourselves, we need to kind of understand a little bit more about what it actually is. According to the research in self-determination theory, competence relates not to students individual ability, but to their perception. And that's really important. The idea is that you need students to feel and perceive that they can achieve. So how do you do that? It's not an easy thing, is it?
