The German Defense Command Paper Is Due to Be Released Later This Month
There was an unusually strong delegation of European ministers at the Shangri-La dialogue. The UK's Ben Wallace talked about how Britain's interests fall as much into the Indo-Pacific region as they do into the Euro-Atlantic region. I thought Kaya Colle's speech was very strong, making the case that Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine was an imperial war of conquest. But I'm not sure it landed with delegates in the region to whom that war against Ukraine still seems far away.
