Six Steps to a Creative Life
Don't write what you know. Think about your favorite work and your creative heroes. What did they miss? What could have been made better? If you were to write fan fiction, what would be included? And when you are at a loss on where to go next with your work, ask yourself what would make a better story. Step for, use your hands. Work that only comes from your head is no good. Have lots of projects you can bounce between. When you get sick of one project, move to another. Practise productive procrastination. Let your passions talk to each other. Take time to be bored and get lost. Enjoy your obscurity while it lasts. Make stuff
