The Perception of Women Speaking Less Than Their Fair Share

We expect men to sit in the meeting and take up space and talk a lot. When a woman does it we kind of go oh should she be doing that like oh really wow I mean she's talked a lot there was a study that was done of the Q&A program on ABC not recently back when Tony Jones was still hosting. The only women who spoke anywhere near their fair share were the ones who got letters written into the ABC about them complaining that they talked too muchWow so it's about our own perceptions and Tony joins was floored by the results because he apparently at the time said no I stand by the way I I do things and I run things I'm really fair.
