Are Plastic Shopping Bags Evil? Or Not?
Claim that you'd have to re use an organic cotton bag 20 thousand times to have the same environmental impact as a plastic bag. That would be a shopping trip every week for nearly four centuries. So is it true? We called up hannah richie, head of research at or world endata and senior researcher at the university of oxford. The number came from a report by the danish environment protection agency which in 20 18, published a report looking at the environmental impacts of plastic bags versus the alternatives.
