Polyamorous Marriages in California

Vietnam recognized polygamorous marriages until 1959. The Social Security Administration decided California law would recognize the second married spouse as having inheritance rights equivalent to the first married spouses. So our FMA does not supersede that interpretation of state law. But if they do, if they have an underlying law that's like California, that may be a potential vehicle for change down the line.
