The Difference Between Meltdowns and Tantrums
The idea of a tantrum is that kids are emotionally manipulating their parents and almost pretending to have a meltdown in order to get what they want. It's not something on the difference between meltdowns and tantrums as two different ways of explaining children's behavior. The way it frustrates me the most is especially with very young children who reach a certain point cognitively where they are capable of manipulation but never intentionally trick you. You shouldn't just go into every interaction with a child assuming that that is their intention or that's what they're doing.
