Paul Keating's Call for a Covenant for Aged Care
Paul Keating has called for a covenant for aged care instead of relying on the super system. He's proposing a tax to fund the incomes of the elderly decades after super was meant to solve this problem. And I'm just like, well, that's exactly the thing that you've been saying we should get rid of and now you're saying, actually, we need the opposite. You know, again, it's one of those contradictions that once you start digging, you see all over thesuper system. The only logical conclusion is that everybody's better off just getting their money in their bank account,. paying whatever their marginal tax rate is and spending it however they want., says John Defter
