I've Earned a Little Grace

I think we talk about, we say, grace over meals, and that's not what we're talking about with grace. I've earned a little grace is an oxymoron, it's a nonsense statement. You can't earn a little grace. It actually is not the biblical definition of grace, it doesn't function at all. We'll say the word grace and think all the wrong stuff because our definition is faulty or limited or too small.
