If you are more sedentary it's harder to actually create joy. There is this symbiotic relationship between them they're not separate things so if you feel like you are devoid of joy in your life sure maybe it's the belief systems and the mentality that's one aspect but there's also this body component. Both are super important to pay attention to sleep, research showing that when you get insufficient sleep it is harder for you to recognize positive emotions in other people.
