The Life and Times of Langston Hues
There's a lot of controversy especially among active poets around the black arts movement which aligned itself with black power politics in the 1960s. And so that question of how exactly do who are the literary ancestors who can be claimed and people want to claim Langston hues? I mean as with anything it's not frictionless but he encouraged them. So we wanted to just think about how does his work circulate now after posthumously, what are the contexts in which he's figuratively and literally translated now that he didn't get to left to see.
