I Don't Have a Unit Zero, but I Do
i didn't feel like my students really got any benefit out of a unit zero, because it was kind of bore ring. But once they started doing the actual, like my actual music class, they just did it, like, they just got it. And so i don't actually use a unit zero any more, because i just sort of rely on the model to teach itself. I think that if you can plan your class that way, there might not be a need for a unit zero.
