Isn't That What's Happening Here as Well?

The word luck helps us explain away this disconcerting thing called chance, the random events that help dfine our lives. The reality is we do not have full control over our destinies, and the temptation of fortune is seductive. People love having explanations and having stories and having reasons why things happen. And so it's very difficult for us to just say, well, that's the way it goes. We know sometimes things work out, sometimes they don't. Very difficult as human beings to do that. It's how we've evolved. Isn't that what's happening here as well?
