Some of us live our life in an off-balance state. When you're able to come to a place of balance and level-headedness, all of your decisions will be rooted from that place. Martial artists practice this by not being emotionally attached to anything if they get into an altercation with someone. They use defensive techniques to neutralize a situation before it gets out of hand.
