The Book of Esther Is a Story of Hitting
Esther's name, if we were to render it in hebrew, suggests the sense of hiding. Mordecai here expresses his confidence that the lord's providence will achieve his purposes for his people. The big picture is certain, the lord will deliver his people. How esther and her family will stand relative to this is what is really in the balance at this point.
