The Hope Mission and Escapade?
The hope mission is dealing with, i would say, the neutral escape piece of the puzzle. Hope doesn't measure ions, although it is sensitive to very high energy particles that are so energetic they'll go right through a spacesuit and give an astronat anser. Until we understand how all that plays together, we're not really going to be able to accurately reconstruct the history of atmospheric loss on mars.
