The Importance of Feedback
Jameson: Sometimes if you don't give enough compliments outside of constructive criticism feedback sessions, people might grow a custom like Pavlov's dog to be like, every time Dave some something nice to me, it means he's about to hit me over the head with some negative feedback. And I'm telling you managers and informed folks, the world around have seen this pattern and they know how trite it is. So if you give feedback in such a way that it looks and is apparent that it's a crap sandwich, then you're probably doing it wrong. It means you haven't built a relationship to earn the right to give feedback to this person.
