The Importance of Sensing the Environment
The mind has come to dominate our thinking as the primary organ. We've moved away from any kind of heart-based sensory feeling knowledge, like indigenous people's wisdom that discovered so many plants and herbs with that kind of whole body or heart-based knowing versus mind-based. The thing is, when we cut off ourself from our capacity to feel the response of the heart to what's presented to the senses, we begin to ingest poison feelings by the time it happens.
