If you were to leave this room right now and somebody asked, do you know david edmonds? Yo would say, no. Well, after to day, if some one asked me,Do you know David Edmonds? Then i would say, well, i met him once. So it does seem like this a very natural distinction. Let's talk about what it is to know a person. Do you know me? I don't know you. I just met you. But in the central of knowing a person, i think knowing a person presupposes that you met several times and you have developed some kind of relationship with that person.
