Environmental Protections in Domestic Constitutions
Many domestic constitutions now contain environmental provisions. South Africa's constitution provides that everybody has the right to an environment not detrimental to his/her health or wellbeing. broader constitutional rights are forming the basis for climate litigation. But taking in case the straws work is very resource intensive, it also takes a very long time. It requires a multi-layered response at the global level.
