Pierre Simon Laplace's Absolute Theory of Time and Space
Pierre Simon Laplace came up with Newtonian solutions to problems that Newton himself couldn't solve. One example of this is how Earth moves around the sun, while also being pulled by Venus and so forth. This becomes a governing absolute theory about all time and space for Enlightenment thinkers like Voltaire.
