Socinus' Arguments for the Atonement

Kibbe: I really, until this recent book, have tried to eschew talking about the atonement because I'm really not viewing what I'm doing as making some kind of new systematic claim. But my understanding is that Socinus was trying to make some systematic theological claims and he was on to something. Kibbe: We can look at those as just ways of talking about the meaning of the cross but we don't in modern times have to believe in the resurrection or ascension.
