How to Use the Supernatural Ability in a Novel

I love that it this woman loves to talk to people so much that she will just continually get into rooms with murderers by herself and you can tell that sort of her her hook into this. I think the show was always designed to have sort of a throwback quality to it just the fact that she can't use the cell phone is actually additive to that. We've joked before that maybe all of us would be solving murders on a regular basis if we weren't so buried in our own technology but I think it does help with the throwback vibe.
