Goldman Sachs Trader Fails to Capitalize on Fixed Income Bonanza
Goldman Sachs reported fixed income trading revenue that declined 17% in the first quarter. The bank also offloaded a chunk of its roughly $4 billion Marcus loanbook, which led to a $440 million reserve release. Goldman's profit was higher than what analysts had expected, but earnings were still down 19% from a year earlier.
