The rules for a qualified tuition programme are set down in section five, two nine of the internal revenue code so you'll usually hear these referred to as five to nine plans. The i r s in the formaf literature calls these qualified tuition programms. And it's a rare client that i've ever interacted with that was concerned with doing some prudent financial planning who did not have some sort of five two nine plan established.
