The Dance Plague
The city council believed that the solution to this problem was actually to encourage the dancing almost maybe a little of reverse psychology or something. Doctors at the time believed in a, again, early 1500s here, but they believe that this dancing plague was caused by hot blood trapped in the bodies of the dancers. They were dancing to get that hot blood out of their system. I love just old medical theories. It's so always just so outlandish.
