CHAPTER

Is the Astronomical Account of Planets Just as True as Astrology?

I think social constructionism finds its greatest confirmation within the sciences. But it doesn't mean that a theory like astrology, which carries very little by way of explanation and prediction, is on the same footing as a theory like astronomy. We find that for different explanatory purposes, different taxonomies serve us better. Whether astrology has that status, as i think, up for grabs, but my own vote would go against. If you classify by descent, human beings are closer to tuna than tuna are to sharks. That similarity relationship changes in our sciences.
