Your Self Talk Is Your Body's Way of Communicating

Self talk is essentially your body's way of communicating and then assigning attention and value to the thing, whatever it is. Even if we change how we refer to ourselves in our self talk, it gives us a little bit more space so that we can deal with the thing. If i use a first person, it's not as effective ive as if i use second or third person. So just changing the verbage matters a lot. Because think of it, it's almost like a friend telling you what to pay attention to, verses like yourself.
