The goddess athena invented the flute. She wanted to show it off to the other gods, but she didn't get the reaction she was hoping for. But marcius turned out to be a good musician and he wasn't as self conscious as athena. He played the aulus so beautifully that all the creatures in the woods were moved to tearsd studies have shown that around 25 % of the population experiences a physiological response when listening to certain musical compositions.
