Researchers find that women have advantages over men in phonemic fluency, verbal memory and verbal recognition. This advantage is stable over 50 years of research and over our participants lifetime. What's really interesting, they also found that if when you look at the individual papers, when you break them up, the advantages were greater for women in papers where the lead author was a woman.
