Don't disregard warning signs, except one. It's not an ad for Lacoste. There are actual crocodiles in that water. The only one to take no notice of is the one about drop bears. Drop bears are a mythical Australian animal. This is a serious thing in Northern Australia,. Even if you don't see signs, probably ask someone if it's safe to swim in water. If you're in North Eastern Australia in the tropics, don't swim in the water unless there are specific areas set aside to do it. Or again, in summer. Don't.
