I love the part where she just says to like your parents had their chance to build their island and it's your your turn to do that as as a parent that's true for every new generation which is really neat again. I thought it was so telling that abortion and LGBTQ plus rights are the issues that were chosen by the religious right to create political divisions because you know as we're thinking about patriarchy these are issues that directly reinforce straight male dominance right but I also think the line where she says we have to really think carefully about what we've been taught to believe especially if it's going to condemn others is kind of a good sort of yardstick right to measure to measure yourself by
