Gabriella's enthusiasm for seaweed came to fruition during a formative experience she had as a young researcher. She travelled indias southern coastal state of tamanado and met a group of female divers. The fishery sector in india is mainly dominated by men. Women play a very important role, but it's usually in the sale of the produce that comes from the ocean.
