The Effects of Fertilizers on Bees
It's just the blood that's left over, so it shouldn't in theory be very safe. If this is going to be practically used, you're going to have to make a lot of blood. Fertilizers are critical to modern agriculture but they can also affect pollinating insects like bees. Bristol University Sam England told Will Tingle how plants generate their electric fields and what fertilizers might do to put bees off.
