Man was not made for hunger, but we can experience such great fruits in that hunger. I think that's exactly the mindset that we need to have while we are approaching fasting. The only way that we can adequately and I'd say beautifully or appropriately or worthy, that we can communicate with God is through that active purification that fasting can bring upon us.
