Serena Williams' Retirement

I didn't think she would ever tell us that it was the end, and therefore, i didn't think we'd ever have to really brutally reckon with its being the end. It feels like a gift that she's given us this soof three week, maybe four weeks, long serena party. I personally did not read it that way at all. I think she's uncomfortable with the finality of the word retirement. But it definitely does seem like this is the end to me. And the intended end point, whell she doesn't specify, this year's us Open. That is the very strong impression i get.
