The Potato Head Model of the Brain
We have built in our brains the model of the world outside, exactly. That's all we've ever got. We don't know what the world is really like when you know what we have built on it. And so i thought about this issue for a very long time, throughout most of my career,. about the fact that all this is happening in the dark. What if you could get information into the brain v other channels? It's all just spikes to the brain. You're just taking these spikes and saying, oh, no, i just, i just heard the dog barkItis an idea of sensory substitution which i find absolatty fascinating.
