The Role of Face Attractiveness in Long Term Mating

What does facial attractiveness signal? And why would it be more relevant than bodily attractiveness in terms of long term mating? Yeah, I'm not sure. It's possible that maybe with facial attractiveness, maybe we can more easily detect asymmetries. Or so maybe it's a stronger like indicator of genetic mutations. So there's some cool research showing that father's genes manifest differently in the fetus or the child because the father doesn't have the same interest as the mother.
