The bad guys have figured out that pretexting works. It's a good social engineering technique. Verizon in their data report that they come out with every year, they found that pretexting incidents rose by over 400% over the last year. The attackers are getting better. But how much are they recognizing that this still works? In other words, how much are the technical defenses getting better? Right.
