Is Markdown a Good Example of an API?
I think there's love and hate out there for Markdown, but it has won. So you can't deny the win and you can't cry about it because it's not going to change. Tweetbot is an example of like an API being used in such a way that it kind of competes with the overall desired user experience for a platform. The people using Tweetbot out of like the whole Twitter user base is such a miniscule like amount. I think this is shortsighted from Twitter.
