How to Run a Foundation Family Office

LHM uses a very classic endowment style approach, but there are some differences as things that I've learned along the way that I want to implement here. So we use eight buckets for asset classes, four publics, four privates. My four publics are fixed income, US equities, international equities and multi asset, multi assets. And then my four private asset classes are private equity venture capital. We split those out and model those from a risk perspective and a return perspective differently. Then real estate and natural resources. We use those eight building blocks for the foundation and really kind of the core of everything that we do here.
