The shift from polytheism in the west to monotheism and then also the shift towards conceptualizing astrology as a causal influences of the planets, which was one of the things that allowed it to survive through the Middle Ages. It would have had the side effect of removing mythology to some extent as one of the interpretive principles. But then that sort of came back in a big way in 20th century astrology. Okay.
