He's got a piece of Voldemort's soul lodged inside him, isn't that what gives him the ability to speak with snakes? Right. And he's always breaking rules nonstop. So you might say that you have a right to break the rules once you've mastered the rules, but not before. You don't want to think that you're a desperate adventurer on the high seas when you're just an undisciplined and useless lout. Those are not the same thing.
