Would the EU Have to Quickly Pivot to an EU Army Strategy?
It was only four years ago in 2018 when we were reading stories of Trump considering withdrawing the US from NATO, calling the organisation obsolete and a relic of the Cold War. Things are different now with the current administration in the White House, but there is an election in 2024 and Trump is still the Republican front-runner. So if we do see return to this kind of discussion, the talks of NATO without the US, would the EU have to quickly pivot to an EU army strategy? I think that the current invasion in the war has certainly revitalised the transatlantic relationship,. It's also down to the present currently in the White house and the current US administration that is so involved in Europe.
