I've said on this podcast before that there just seems to me to be a sort of odd disconnect between the claims of people, especially on the sort of a progressive side of politics. And if you think that often the people who are powerful are not the good guys, then that is all the more reason to grant people due process in order precisely to defend themselves against abuses of power. So it really does run both ways. Sometimes the people who have power want to suppress a way of thinking that is left wing. And sometimes they want to suppress right wing ideologies or approaches. Either way, we should stand firm and say, the government doesn't get to say what kind of viewpoint you're going
