Oprah Winfrey and Howard Lyman were accused of making false statements about the dangers of beef patty cakes on their TV show. The pair deny that they made any such claims, saying it was a matter of free speech for them to say what they wanted. Oprah said in her own defense: "I come from a people who have struggled and died in order to have a voice"
