The Amazon Invasion of Athens
Plutarch tells us that according to an ancient Greek poem called the Thesisid, Entiope was not kidnapped. She fell in love with Thesis and left the Amazons completely on good terms. That is, until a few months later, when Thesis decided that he couldn't marry some barbarian Amazon and dumped Entiope. In this version, it was Entiope who personally led the Amazon attack on Athens. With their queen dead, the rest of the Amazon army retreated.
