What Are the Nariids?
The nariids are the daughters of narius. And narius is one of the old men of the sea. So besides mermaids, there are also these very venerable, elderly men,. Some of whom are mermen, and some of whom are shape shifters. They can change to be old or to be fish, or to be other creatures. There are 50 of them - including thetis, the mother of achilles. But also many, many names of women who have very well omened names.
