The Importance of Passability
I think there's a lot of reason to wait until you're cognitively at a place that you can really know the decision that you're making. The argument for it has often been passability, especially for trans women,. I would pass if I had gone ahead when I was 14. And by pass, I mean, I could blend in in such a way that I wouldn't stick out.
