The dearth of engineering leadership, especialy at the mid levels, is the biggest problem in every indian start up, full stop. These days, even at scaler as well, as we are expanding, a lot of people are coming in who are actually engineering managers. A couple of things that ive learned: You have to know yourself and your own biasesm,. different people are motivated by different things. It's really important you understand that what works for you is not going to work for everyone in your team.
